Good Morning

My name is Sebastian Cedeño Loaiza, I am a virtual student of software analysis and development

Tab: 2547400

Evidence: Audio

Instructor: Paula Andrea Bedoya Cuadros

I am currently studying software development for which I must have several attitudes such as being positive, collaborative, reliable, friendly and empathetic. In the same way I must take into account those values that help me to have a good and healthy communication with my classmates and instructors. Values which I must put into practice. These values are such as companionship, respect, responsibility and dialogue. Also, as an apprentice, I must be up to date with lessons and exams and I must be responsible with the work assigned during the training stage.

As a worker I must follow the instructions of my supervisor to responsibly perform my duties correctly and efficiently, for which I must keep a notebook so as not to forget what I have been told.

For all of the above I have to organize my schedule to study and work. Thank you very much

                           Gabriel García Márquez

Writer Gabriel García Márquez was born in Arataca, Colombia, on March 6, 1927. Among his greatest achievements is the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1982.

He published his most successful work, "One Hundred Years of Solitude" in 1967 and it became one of the most important novels of 20th century literature. The story of the Buendía family has been translated into more than 24 languages. In 2007, the Royal Spanish Academy launched a popular commemorative edition of this novel, considering it one of the great Hispanic classics of all time.

In addition, he obtained great sales success and enormous repercussion with his works "Chronicle of a Death Foretold", "Love in the Time of Cholera", "The Colonel Has No One to Write to Him", "The Funeral of the Mamá Grande", "The Shipwrecked Man's Tale", "Blue Dog's Eyes", etc.

Thus, García Márquez has been the greatest representative of the so-called "magical realism", characterized by the encounter of realistic elements with apparitions and fantastic circumstances.

He was one of the greatest representatives of the boom in Spanish-American literature.

His relationship with Fidel Castro has been a source of controversy. According to the British Gerald Martin, who published in 2008 the first authorized biography of the novelist, García Márquez feels an "enormous fascination for power". He points out that "he has always wanted to be a witness to power and it is fair to say that this fascination is not gratuitous, but pursues certain objectives" and mentions that many consider his proximity to Cuban leader Fidel Castro as excessive. Martin recalls that he has also been related to Felipe Gonzalez or Bill Clinton but "everyone looks only at his relationship with Castro".

Among his most recent works is the book of memoirs "Vivir para contarla", published by Gabriel García Márquez in 2002. In 2004 he published the novel "Memoria de mis putas tristes", a love story that follows the romance of a ninety-year-old man and his young concubine. In 2010 he published "Yo no vengo a decir un discurso", which brings together 22 texts written throughout his life to be read in public.

García Márquez has shown an interest in film and television, participating as a screenwriter, as a producer and allowing the adaptation of his work.

                                               Critical Thinking and Media Literacy

 what is critical thinking?

Critical thinking is having the desire to seek, the patience to doubt, the fondness to meditate, the slowness to affirm, the readiness to consider, the care to put in order and the hatred for all kinds of imposture". From a more modern perspective, critical thinking is understood as the ability to analyze and evaluate the consistency of reasoning, especially those statements that society accepts as true in the context of everyday life, such as fake news, especially relevant today due to their proliferation and rapid viralization.

what is media literacy?

According to the National Association for Media Literacy Education, media literacy is the ability to access, analyze, evaluate, create and act using all forms of communication. Media literacy means everything from interpreting emojis to understanding the underlying messages in online ads, producing viral video content, and recognizing native advertising.

While media literacy sounds like a practical skill understood by everyone with Internet access, it's amazing how many online users are unaware of its impact on others and their own susceptibility to media manipulation.

We're breaking down three reasons why it's important for young users and connected professionals alike to be fluent in the media chaos.

Why does this matter?

Observation and interpretation are skills that extend beyond the realm of resisting faulty advertising. Questioning the norm and reinterpreting layers of everyday messaging gives students everything they need to become smart decision makers in real-world scenarios.
